Appomattox
If ever a style of residential architecture “spoke to me,” it was certainly that of Colonial Virginia. No two houses, though similar in size, shape and detail, are alike. There is always some simple, yet perfect nuance that differs from house to house to house. No matter how often I travel among these treasures, there always remains another detail to note – one so subtle as to have gone unseen in prior passings. Tidewater Virginia home like The Appomattox are strewn along the valleys and waterways of this region and will live on to tell the tales of yet another era in this wonderful land of ours.
