The Ashley, a home of elegant Georgian architecture, is reminiscent of the grand homes ion the battery section of Charleston, South Carolina. Horse-drawn carriages pass along the streets, seagulls circle overhead and lovers stroll hand-in-hand along the waterfront today, just as they did the day before and the day before that.
